Or you could get a trailer for him, stick him in there with some little video games and a bag of chips. I would love seeing that.
But you are right, sometimes it's good (healthy too) to have hobbies or whatever that you do on your own.
Although it shouldn't be to "get away" from them, just to do something on your own. My wife supports me biking, and we go for shorter rides together at a much more relaxed pace than what I do solo.
