my new rigid bike, with just the parts swapped from my old Ibis.
S-Works carbon HT
King hubs, mavic 517/519
Avid brakes
Cook bros. cranks
X-9 shifters/RD,
LX FD
Easton carbon monkey lite bars
Redline cro-mo fork.
my plan is to put a SID on if i want suspension, and get either the bontrager rigid carbon fork, or a pace carbon fork. and ultimately run hope mono minis with either DT wheels, or kings on DT XD4.1, and either an XT crank, or some carbony XC crank. the bike comes in at a shade under 23lbs as is. the carbon fork will be the first addition, probably within the next couple weeks and should take about a half pound off the bike. taking it out for it's first real dirt ride tomorrow. i've taken it on some fireroads and so far it has just blown my mind. might even make a racer out of me.
and the other bike: cannondale prophet 1000.
avid juicy 7s, X-9 RD with X-7 shifters, mavic crossland wheels. the bike is pretty much stock, except for the pedals and the bashguard, nothing really stands out about it. gotta warranty the rear juicy as fluid leaked out of the resivoir cap and bleed screw, and possibly get a new SPV cartridge for the lefty. the bike has been kickass so far. super responsive, flies down hills and handles jumps pretty well.
