Oh yeah, well worth it! Clean that puppy up, especially the Ideale saddle: if it's not cracking I'd use mild straight soap SUDS (minimal water) like Ivory or Murphy's Oil Soap, concentrate on the green crud around the rivets, and dry it immediately. Wait a day and then apply a coat of Proofide to the top and bottom, check the tension...avoid the impulse to do ANYTHING ELSE to the leather. I'd clean the whole bike, repack everything and ride it as-is, except for maybe a different RD and stem (that FR stem might be dicey).
