I want to try different (shorter) crank arm lengths, but am confused as to exactly which parts will fit. As is probably obvious, the rest of the bike is 9-speed. Which other Shimano cranks will fit on this bottom bracket (I like it, don't see a reason to replace it unless I have to) and will be compatible with 9-speed components?

Thanks in advance.
Any Octalink (DA FC-7700, Ultegra FC-6500, 105 FC-5500) cranks will work. They are all interchangeable with any Octalink bottom bracket (BB-7700, 6500 & 5500)
