vehicular cycling: operation of a bicycle on a public right of way according to the traffic negotiation rules accepted by the majority population of vehicle operators for their own safe and convenient travel, because these rules are well matched to the operational conditions faced by drivers of vehicles. In North America this includes travel on the right half of the roadway, destination positioning at intersections, speed positioning between intersections, and yielding to traffic that is slower or stopped ahead, in a new line of travel before moving laterally, or on a prioritized road at a junction.
