time out here. why hasn't anyone suggested this yet? ...and you even went to a bike shop?? technically you shouldn't be grinding or sanding anything or filing. no matter how talented you are, it won't be equal.

this will take care of the possible extra paint OR JIS situation by actually milling the seat area.
