I would say if you can up your budget a bit and get a better range of components. Even though my starter bike was a $1600.00 Lemond Chambery with full Ultegra It felt like a truck, in part that it should have been a size smaller. make sure you get the right frame size, don't let the smaller numbers fool you into thinking its small. Since Lemond is owned by Trek, and have ridden Giant compact frames, I would steer you toward the OCR, but you are doing the right thing by riding both.
