Yeah, I definitely would not ride it before that construction is done unless you enjoy getting buzzed by trucks while huffing your way up a hill on a twisty narrow highway with little to no shoulder, and a rock wall on one side with a drop-off on the other.

ps. Robin: I'm sure I've stood in the exact spot that the first picture was taken, is that on the way to the Columbia Ice Fields when the road starts climbing like crazy? I was there when I was 9 years old, so my vivid memory of it says a lot about that view. I wonder if my Dad has any pictures around similar to the bottom one. We could compare how much the glacier has shrunk.
