I hang out with a bunch of
Nutters and a lot of the bikes they have, ride and enjoy have known histories, some going back over 50 years, many others don't. I have several bikes that I can only guess at where they have been. My Raleigh Superbe for instance has splatters of silver and slate blue paint on it, and given the amount of wear on the saddle, brake pads and the like all I can assume is that it spent a good part of it's life leaning against a garage wall somewhere in New England. I hope that when the time comes to pass my bikes on in the distant future they will go to someone that will appreciate and enjoy them as much as I have. I have one bike that I did pass on back in the late 90's that has come back home. It is an old hardtailed Giant Iquana MTB that I purchased in 1991. It is a bit worse for the wear, but it going to get built back up as my bad weather commuter.
