The first 30-40 minutes of my morning rides are in the dark, which is fun as my usual routes feel so different in the dark. Then I get to enjoy the sun rise.

Once the commute starts up I'm better off walking the bike to the trolley station which is only 8-10 minutes waking distance to avoid having to put on enough lighting to see, then packing them away into my panniers for the day when I get on the bus. Once there's enough light in the morning again I may ride to where I catch the bus 3 miles away.
