I was considering medical transcription (b o r i n g) but can be done at home. Unfortunately, all the local places want someone with 2 years experience. At this point I am even thinking of going to some of the better local restaurants and seeing if I could be a server. $100 meal plus 15% tip= $15.00 x say 4 meals per hour = $60. x number of hours per week. Probably my math is too optimistic but it sounds OK. I did work a summer as a waitress, back before they were called servers, but it was a long time ago. I really want a new bike!!!
unfortunately your math is off... that $15 tip wouldn't only go into your pocket. You need to share it with the bus boys/girls and possibly others who work your area. Not to mention the cut that goes to Uncle Sam. Waiting tables wouldn't get you any closer to the new bike than a paper route would...

Have you tried the rich boyfriend route? That always seems to work...
