Ok, just tried the hair spray. I only got about 10% off the jacket. Think of it like a L&M Arc light that you see on Eddy's light comparison website. Now take away the side side light and what you have left is the hot spot in the middle. That is my situation right now.

Last time I wore this jacket was about 3 months ago so I would assume the pen bursted around the end of Jan 2007 seeing as my end of season ride was 1-2 week of Jan/2007 and there was no ink spots on the jacket.

Anyone happen to know of any home made solutions for the tough stains? I was lucky to have a a travel bottle of Aussie hairspray handy but it only took off ~10%. The dish washer soap didn't seem to do anything. I was using a new standard issue kitchen yellow/green scrub pad and using the green corse side to light/mildly take off the stain. I don't know of any places that sell the oxy stuff in small batches for spot cleaning. Most places have a honking huge tub.

My jacket is bright (neon?) lime green. Oh yes the repellency seems to hold a but and it's not like a strainer totally letting all the water through. I know, I was in the bathroom doing this in the sink and I thought I squeezed the water out of the pouch but when I lifted the jacket the floor got soaked >_<;;
