I didn't talk to them much personally (they were older folks, didn't speak much English) but the police did, and one officer gave me his card with the report number on it, so I think I'm set in that respect.

Silly me, if all of the people in the bar hadn't called 911, I would have made sure the people in the car were okay, reattached their bumper with some zipties out of my handlebar bag, and went on my merry way.
