What about, say, sewing the nylon strap to some Lorica or other toughish synthetic that is backed with velcro and doing the velcro thing somehow? I was just looking at my shoes and thinking "Man, I really rip on those straps and they never move, maybe that could be adapted somehow." I'll let your gears turn, for I am not a seamstress by nature.
yeah the cable idea is cimly a fleeting thought that probably wouldn't work unless some major work was done. and then it would be a little overboard. yeah i'm gonna look into lorica though. thanks.
