This one is far worse than my slow speed tip overs.
-sore left wrist.
-scrapes on my left hand
-possibly sprained right wrist. Hurts amazingly bad.
-road rash on right knee
-massive bruise where the front of my shoulder hit the ground.
Why the heck did I continue on to work?
I had 20 miles to go when this happened. Anyhow, I have bandaged and sterilized. Took a fair amount of pain killers and am icing. Not feeling that coherent at the moment. Hopefully, I feel good enough to ride. It's supposed to be nice today.
I am still cold after 1 hr. It was in the high 20s but I could not pedal fast enough to heat up.
Bummer dude, sorry to hear that. I have clobbered both of my shoulders, the 1st 2 yrs ago when I got hit by a car (rear-ended in the bike lane! Hey, at least I didn't get a ticket) the other this past fall when I hit a rubber mat in the road (intended for tracked vehicles to cross w/o pulverizing the pavement) while it was very very wet. Those are the injuries that lingered for me, anyway. I had 2 other high-speed tumbles that didn't really have any after-effects past a month or so, I hope yours is similar.
So uh what can I say, nice ride in for me today! Dark, cool but not cold, damp but not wet.
