I visited Wigs while I was there and the guy is super. Stayed late to fix my loose headset. Nice shop, too.
I toyed around town a little bit on Tuesday to recover from riding Hogpen Gap the day before. Wednesday I set out to climb up Cheaha but class ran long so I did an abbreviated ride. I parked about 4.5 miles out from the top and rode in from there. It's a wonderful ride. The scenery was fantastic, the road wasn't bad at all and the light traffic around was very courteous. Anniston would be a great area for a cyclist. I don't think I found a patch of flat ground the entire time I was there.
Next time I hope to park at the 431 turnoff (gas station) and make it a 25 miler. Thanks for the info guys. I had a great time and really loved Northeastern Alabama.
