So I'm riding into work today on this first dark morning after evil DST, and I'm riding at a fairly good clip when suddenly I'm right on top of another cyclist, no lights, no reflectors, dark clothes, and headphones. I swerve around him and signal him to stop, he's riding a Magna and when he pulls over I tell him I almost ran right over him because I couldn't see him. I reach into my pannier and pull out a spare blinky, together we attach it to his seat post and he thanks me before we ride off and seperate at the intersections. In my mirror I see the red light blinking as he heads under the expressway. So it cost me $10 but that's better than hearing about another dead cyclist.
