Last year my dose was cut to 1/2 normal because I was doing well on blood pressure. Same as you, hr takes off. The body appairently compensates for Beta blockers my producing more to be blocked. Folks who dont improve need more and more to stay the same. 4 to 6 weeks I'll bet the backlash wears off and your back to normal.
