3/4" is a lot. If it isn't done so, mount your chainring on the inside of the crank spider arm. I noticed from the photo, your chainring is large. Hopefully, it'll clear the chainstay by moving it inward. If there's no clearance, swap the ring with say, a 42. 42's are commonly used in these conversions.
