I just ordered the 42t biopace ring from Yellowjersey.

I also have an email in to Phil regarding the question of combining the Sugino 75 crank arms, which have a published ISO taper, with the JIS taper of my Phil crank bearing spindle.

We have a thread going on this forum now, regarding the Sugino taper.
I'll wait and see how that shakes out before making any crank purchases.

In the meantime, I can play with a lower gear inch and see how it feels.
If I can go 15mph at a comfortable spin, I can more than live with it.
