Some people train on shorter, harder rides than mileage (i.e. they don't do much over 75 on training rides but they make them tough with climbing, etc.). Each person is different. But no, I'm not joking. You already have a base. If you WANTED to do a double, you could train (using a method that suits you) for four to six weeks and knock one out without much ado, woman. I honestly believe that.

You're always so kind....thanks for the encouragement...I have an idea that I could finish just not sure in the time alloted

The only reason I did my first century back in August was to get a new bike

my husband said if I did a century he would buy me a better bike. So I think 10 days later I just did it....I did'nt train for it just signed up and went.......but around mile 80 I was hating life.......then little did I know this was a 110 mile century

so when I rolled up on mile 100 and there was no finish is sight I thought I would cry....but the funny thing that kept me going is a 75 year old lady rode up on me and we talked for about the next 5 miles and then she said she had a rodeo to go to later and had to go.......she vanished...in thin air almost....I thought that was so funny...and her friend she was with was older..so I laughed about that all the way to the finish.......so I finished in 8:45 minutes ... rode past the finish to my hotel when I realized I had to go back and check in with the organizer that I finished

so I had to put my shoes back on my throbbing feet and hobble back to the finish....which then made my time 8:59

but the moral of the story is.....well Im not sure actually but I got a new bike 3 days later
