The Centurion Custom I saw in a thrift store for $4.99 had a chrome fork bottom. It also had the vertical badge. I could not tell you much else because I did not buy it. I noticed the side of the wheel rims were 'stippled', the part that the brake shoe presses on.

My Centurion Executive 12-speed has the oval badge with 'Centurion Bicycle Works' on it. It has 27X1.25 rims. Simano 7 GT derailleur. Silstar cranks, Suzue rims. Ultralight Hi-Tension tubing.

I'm told these are Japanese bikes.
