I'd say it depends on how you feel. I have a century scheduled for Sunday (114 miles and 12,000ft of climbing) and here's how my week is going...
Monday 35 miles 2000 ft. of climbing
Tuesday 1 hour Spinning class
Wednesday 27 miles flat
Thursday complete rest day
Friday ??? will be riding but what/where depends on how I feel after Thursday
Saturday 30ish miles easy pace
Sunday century
Next week will be more tricky since I will be coming off of this century and I have to keep a double century in mind...
Monday recovery ride 1-2 hours
Tuesday 1 hour Spinning class
Wednesday 35 miles 2000+feet of climbing
Thursday ???
Friday recovery ride
Saturday double century
Of course...any of that is subject to change based on how my legs are feeling!
