Early 60's/late '50s Frejus all-chrome track bike. I didn't let it get away, the @$$hole LBS did so for me.

Came in as a repair, nothing was ever done to it, owner never came back for it. After 6 months of nagging them to sell it to me, it dissapeared. They said he picked it up.

I didn't doubt that until its battered tubular wheelset (a pair of horribly bent Nisis and goregous high-flange Fratelli Brivio track hubs) surfaced two weeks ago at another LBS. The wheelset had been found in a dumpster, the wheelset had been left behind - probably as whoever picked up the frame didn't care diddly for a pair of wrecked tubulars.

Called back the other shop - they say he probably did NOT pick it up, and the bike is in their warehouse. Hogwash.

Where is this Frejus now? God only knows. Pastor Bob, can you harness the Bicycle Heavens to steer me to the Frejus?
