I live in North America, so I think avoiding cars is not that hard. I have know a lot of people who are car free and have probably not been in a automobile for over a year. Is it easy? No. Are you out of the social norm? Possibly. It all depends on the situation you want to create for yourself. If anyone is interested in attempting a completely auto free summer, let me know. And I will keep you all posted as to how it is going for me.
