Yah...been there before. I agree that weight matters to a point. I just think that it's silly to say that this gentleman's Epic is not race-worthy b/c the pedals are 25g too heavy. It's as goofy as saying that you need to get the 2007 XTR cranks b/c they're light. They weigh 770g and cost $550. The 2006 version is 790g and only around $300. So you save $250 that could save you more than 20g elsewhere. Make sense?

But if you have $250 to piss away and save a mere 20g...go for it.
