Wireless Computer Reliability Test w/cell phone

I made a accidental discovery today in regards to detecting if a particular brand or model of Wireless Computer has a problem with interference today.
A co-worker and I commute to work and today he came to me and said my bikes computer is running. So I went over and took a look and sure enough his bike was doing 76.42 mph sitting still (dB 4LW Wireless) I also have a dB 4LW Wireless on another bike and I tried when I got home it did the same thing ran at 76 mph.
Well at this point I look at my other computer a VDO C3 DS Wireless Computer and nothing, we both had out bikes near a hi power electrical box, I remove his computer and it stops.
I take mine over to the box and nothing, so I then take my cell phone and turn it on next to his computer and it starts up again mine nothing.
So after work I go to one of our local shops and test some of the others with my cell phone and I discovered that this little test showed me which computers were more susceptible to electronically interference.
The cell phone needs to be right up to the computer to test, the electrical box at work was a good 10 ft away.
I know on some streets they have boxes near the street, Hi power lines above as well as other sources and these may be affecting some computers I know my dB 4LW Wireless sometimes shows wrong average speed readings my VDO C3 DS Wireless has never done this.
