be careful what you wish for. I have a better run with Fortune 500 politics than dealing with tenured fenceposts that are placed in front of students. I enjoyed teaching overseas. A good friend of mine is having a second go at this, and I sincerely hope that it is all he expects it to be! He is deserving of it.
It is really hard to see around the NCLB drapes that cover a large part of the US educational system. We are not enabling students to really explore education at the level they should have available (if they so desire). I dunno, I was pretty let down by it all, and the fact that my skill sets, world experience, and enthusiasm is not worth dime one to the schools. I mean, yeah they want it - but tehy do not want to pay reasonably for it.
Disparity in Illinois is sickening.
