In all seriousness, Bikeforums is pretty good about racism but there is a lot of homophobia in other threads/forums, notably the Road forums. I guess jocks will be jocks but I wish they would moderate that a bit more. I know two gay cyclists who can drop anyone on this forum (unless Ullrich lurks) and sexual orientation really has sweet-f-all to do with cycling.
damn right. casual hate is not cool.

They were not actually branded as Fujis but they are the same frames.

I don't know who makes the carbon fibre frames for Bikesdirect either but they are also re-branded bikes, mostly Steve Bauer frames that sell for 2500$USD for the frame alone. It is really interesting what is going on now in the carbon fibre market....that stuff is getting cheap. Anyone with enough orders can buy the frame, as can be attested to by the guys in the road forum that got a sweet CF frame/fork for under 600$USD shipped. There is another one now too, this time for a Leader frame and it looks like it might be under 500$USD. Tempting.
I've been wondering about those bikes direct deals.. I kept coming to the conclusion that anything that seemed too good to be true probably was. Especially that Campy Record Motobecane that came up in the thread a while back. Mmmm.. Campy Record. Not that such an investment is in the cards for me right now... I'm still intrigued by Darkmother's custom Ti Habanero as well, speaking of "too good to be true".
