I had a pair and they held up for about 10 months, then both snapped on me in the same day. it was real rainy out, i put a little pressure on the left strap and all of a sudden my foot was out of the pedal. the right one snapped that afternoon while taking them out.

edit: if its a vegan thing, stick with either ****ty thin nylon straps or powergrips, the later being your best bet
