As you can see, the 2007 model is better for commuting, because:
1) It already comes with fenders
2) The rear disc brake is mounted inside the chainstay. That means it's easier to mount a rear rack to it.
That's the "World DBX" not the "Sport DBX". The World comes with a triple (50/39/30) too. My neighbor has one and it's a pretty sweet bike. May not be the fastest bike around, but it's a good all purpose bike. Some of his commuting routes have some long downhill stretches and he says those disc brakes are exactly what he needed and wanted plus the triple helps him get up those hills...lol
