i've recently been given some track components that need a little love... my friend gave me a brand new 1" threadless star headset, but it doesn't have any bearings. does anyone know how many bearings they require and what size? he didn't know.

also, i was given a tubular wheelset from another friend who got them from a total idiot who replaced the axles with hollow ones. they're low flange superbe hubs. i've been told they require campy threaded axles; can anyone confirm this? i haven't had a chance to disassemble them and take a cone in somewhere to determine it's threading...
