It's an easy mistake for an amateur seller to make, since Swiss threading is so rare. I wish I had noticed the listing or otherwise knew about it before you bought it, because I could have told you it would be Swiss-threaded. As far as I know, Peugeots were French-threaded through the 1970s, then Swiss-threaded from 1980 until CCM took over production in Canada and changed to English threading, circa 1985(?).
