I had experienced no effect warranting a 5 dollar price increase over a standard bottle. Cold water in that bottle stayed cooler longer for maybe a few minutes, and by only a few degree's. I did, however, like how big they were, how nice and snug they fit in the cages and the fact they came in many cool colors, but still not a worth-while investment in my opinion.
