First, start with fresh gloves when you install the white tape. If your old gloves were used on black tape, they probably are have built up a coating of black residue. This one step made a huge difference for me.

Second, rag + Simple Green. Scrubbing is fine, but I have found it more efficient to use a shoe-shine type motion (grab rag at both ends and pop up and down). My Deda tape stays very clean with pretty little effort.
