Cleaning your bartape with any soap or solvent is possibly the dumbest sh*t I've ever heard of. Cleaners/solvents will soak into the tape and once the tape is wet (sweat, rain, whatever) again, they will begin to leach out. Now it's on your hands and in your gloves.

Rub your face (eyes, nose, mouth...) and you've just wiped solvents into your mucous membranes.

Tape is cheap. When it's too dirty for you to stand, re-wrap your bars....
