Iīve once been hit hard by a car. The driver had not seen me at all, he didnīt even break, hit me "full speed" which was not more than perhaps 30 km/h. I saw it coming only a fraction of a second before it happend - no way to do anything about it. And once hit, you are just an object catapulted up into the air... the impact is so surprisingly and shocking HARD! I really donīt think one can use oneīs martial art skills there.
I was very lucky: Bad bruises, some blood - and a totally broken helmet. I would definetely recommend to wear an helmet.
