M_S: It has to be a different set of disc brakes from the originals. It looks like the brake levers are Shimano STI; therefore, Avid BB7 Disc Brakes (Road version) are required, since those are the only ones in the U.S. right now that would work with those types of brake levers. You can use Dia-Compe 287V levers on mechanical disc brakes, but those do not have integrated shifters.
