If it makes you feel better, I can't fit my bike in my wife's car...even with the wheels off. Which is why I don't drive her car if I need to bring my bike along.
Sweeping generalizations? Hardly. If you read my first post again, you'll see that I said nothing about anyone or anyplace else...just myself, and where I live. If the facts of life are different in your neck of the woods, congratulations.
