it's the same day as the 5BBT, and it's actually the same day as the 5BBT every year, so if you run and bike you can only do one or the other. and yes, the marathon is for runners, but the route is closed right before the race begins. so, if you start to ride before the race begins, you will not be in anyone's way and not one person will say anything to you. my house is actually on the route, since it was slightly changed last year, so i can leave my house and start riding 4 miles into the course if i wanted to. riding 2 loops would be pushing it, because there's usually a car behind the last runner, so the roads can be opened up once he or she passes certain points...
