seeing as this is bf.net, and there's a good chance you'll take that too literally, make sure to add water.
+1 the three times I've cleaned my bike, I used that and a soft shop brush (like a miniature push broom). Mostly I just hose it down after a rain ride, bounce it on the ground a few times and hang it up.
