Have any of you folks ridden the Heart and Stroke ride on the gardener? I signed up for the 75k section for this years ride and I'm wondering if its do-able fixed. I'm running a 63 GI on my fix and while I'm not worried about climbs, I'm kinda wondering about desents. Or should I just ride my road bike?

Also, anyone have any advise about this ride at all? Thank, sorry for the thread jack and all.
I think some folks from here rode it fixed last year, so I'm sure someone will chime in. I've done 85km rides fixed without any big probs, our own Jeremeywhitehorn has done many 100km+ rides fixed (with a similar gear ratio I think) and I know some of the randonneurs (http://www.randonneursontario.ca/) do much longer rides fixed. Do you have a brake?
