Pictures of: home built repair stand, and my current build

I built a PVC stand this weekend and tested it out today with my new build. Instructions to build the stand were from here.

I'm not sure if I like the stand. The bicycle is a little wobbly on it, but I'm not worried about it falling, well any more. The instructions say that no clamping is needed, but for me, that was definitely not the case. The bike fell off once, but I, luckily, managed to catch it. I decided to wrap a tiny bungee cord around the BB and a larger one around the down tube. Any worry about scratches was quickly resolved by wrapping the points of contact between the bike and the stand with several layers of 100 mile an hour tape, which also addressed some issues with wobble by creating a tighter fit.

The bicycle is a 2005 Raleigh competition with new Ultegra 10 speed components.

I feel the need to explain the presence of the flowers made with yarn in the picture. They're not for decoration. This is the room that useless items are stored. In the background of one of the pictures you can see a large object draped with cloth. That's actually an old electric type writer.
