Perhaps a better question is which brands bikes are least likely to fail? Warranties are ok, but I'd rather have a better product.
Anyone who pays >$3000 for a frame without a lifetime warranty is insane.
Which brands are least likely to fail is a good question. However a good working assumption is that nothing (bikes included) is free from manufacturing defects and the like; I'd hate to shell out a ton of money (for me) for a bike, get a defective one, and have to wage war to get a refund or a new frame.
