As that picture stands, that's pretty much what I'd do if I had the cash to buy the parts and labor for a Karate Monkey build. I'd mainly get a Karate Monkey for FAT cushion-y tire clearance, anyway. I want one in the future mainly to do two things:

1. Cruise. As in, cruise around downtown without having to feel the potholes, or worry about crappy weather/environmental conditions. I figured that the rotating mass is probably insane on those tires, but I thought they'd be great for the craters and boulders in the big cities. How sluggish was your bike with the Big Apples?

2. Mountain Bike. Well, go singlespeed on a mountain bike.

Since I'm adverse to flats and risers, I figured on a Monkey with the On-One Midge attached for a future mountain bike.

And I'll hold ya to that build offer in the future, xB_Nutt.

And now I'll shut up and allow on-topic discussion to continue
