If you're asking about the post-workout drink there are many sources. I use biotest's surge because it has hydrolyzed whey (already broken down) protein, and extra amino acids. You could have one customized from the protein factory, or get something similar from GNC probably. I just happen to like Biotest because I know the guys who run the company and I trust them.
I have to agree. I spoke to Dr. John Berardi about this. While riding Dr. Berardi recommends mixing your Surge with Gatorade. I carried two big bottles and drink it while riding. He said you need more carbs than the Surge has. When I got home I drank a protein shake WITH carbohydrates (at least another 40+ grams of protein and fruit like Blueberries or Strawberries to up the carbs). One year I rode and everyone told me I looked thinner. I was convinced that while loosing fat I was loosing a lot of muscle. I increased my protein intake and lost considerable less muscle the next year.

For those that want to try Surge:

For the after ride you could use METABOLIC DRIVE® COMPLETE if you want to stick with BioTest like aikigreg mentioned. I also like Dorian Yates Pro Mr Vanilla.

By the way, I think aikigreg is right on when he mentions “Make sure you're eating at least 1gram protein per pound of bodyweight.” and training with weights.
