My experience is that Armadillos are garbage. While I've yet to flat on them, they ride sluggish and have very little traction. And for those irresponsible, reckless souls who enjoy skidding: I started seeing the red casing in less than 3 weeks of owning them and doing what I would define as a "moderate" amount of skidding and skipping.

My experience with Gatorskins, on the other hand, were very positive. Ride is nice, quite grippy, and very durable. Go w/ Gators.
