Whatever floats your boat man, it's your bike. I personally like matte black a lot. I've seen a few mt bikes with that basic scheme and the trek xo-1 cyclocross bikes from a few years ago had it.. I think. Actually it might have been a gloss finish. Anyways, do whatever you want.
