Jeez, am I the only lawyer in this place?! Actually, that's probably a good thing.
I'm a public defender in Cambridge, Mass., which is a spectacular job except for the pay being lousy, which is why I also do Spanish translations on the side (and am eagerly waiting for a lucrative
coffee-table-book deal). Of course, my wife just got a job as a professor in Connecticut, so some time in the next nine months we'll move to the Middle(town, CT) of nowhere, she'll start making double what she makes now, and I'll have no incentive whatsoever to do anything other than stay home with my two little kids and tinker with bikes all day.
Seriously, if anyone knows of a job for a Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking lawyer in central Connecticut, preferably one that doesn't involve helping the Man and lets me ride my bike to work, holla.
