Neither Campy or Shimano front road shifters are indexed. Campagnolo front shifters have a series of several equally spaced detents (click stops), six I believe. Shimano front road shifters have detents that may or may not align with the chainrings, depending on double or triple and group. Most Shimano STI shifters have additional trimming available.
